Pay Day Friday

Well, my internet restrictions at work were made much more strict this week. And instead of freeing up more time to do more work, it has actually left me more time to find new/different sites that aren’t blocked than what I was reading before. Which has been fun :) Except now I can’t access Pinterest at work anymore, and that is horribly sad… [Don’t judge me people – I don’t have enough work to keep me busy all day every day…]

But, I felt like doing just a quick post (sent from my email since Blogger has been blocked) to share some upcoming fun and excitement of the weekend…
  • TobyMac concert tonight with friends, and with VIP tickets! We get special seating, and a meet-and-greet before it starts with Toby and his band! Gonna be awesome.
  • Possibly a bike ride tomorrow morning?!
  • FSU football game tomorrow night! (Finally! First, and only, one of the season I get to attend.) A special THANK YOU goes out to the nice people who gave them to me! ;)
  •  Youth pizza party after church for lunch on Sunday – going to be fun, and I’m really looking forward to it!
  • And I’m hoping to squeeze some crafts into this weekend as well…

My family is hosting Thanksgiving at our house again this year, and I want to create some cute craft ideas into our meal that I’ve found on the interwebs lately. I want to combine some of the elements from the following two pictures, to make my own deal. So we’ll see how that goes.

I think I will also try to make my own version of this cute banner as well.

So it should be busy, but I’m sure it’s also going to be lots of fun! Maybe on Sunday night I can do a post from home and give some updates on how all of this went… :) And have a wonderful weekend!

Penn St. Pervert

As I read more and more of the scandal surrounding Penn State right now, I only get angrier and angrier. I am so wound up right now I can hardly form sentences or structure this post in a way that will make sense. But I'm so upset and confused and angry about it, I feel like a need to "rant" about it a little...

In case you aren't aware, yesterday, Wednesday, Joe Paterno was fired as the head coach at Penn State surrounding a sexual abuse scandal by one of his former assistant coaches - Jerry Sandusky. To read all of the story (and I think you should), click here. There are a lot of articles on it, but I think that's one that you can glean a lot of the main info from.
Here is my beef with all of this -
  1. Penn State fans and supporters are extremely angry over this as they feel an injustice to Paterno has taken place. Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME?! The man knew that one of his former assistants, one of his FRIENDS, was sexually abusing children, and all he did was tell his boss. Sure he did what was "right" by college "rules," but what amazes me is that he knew about this for so dang long, and did nothing more to actually stop it. How could that not weigh over his head every day since then, knowing that it was most likely still happening?! The man DESERVES to have been fired. Give me a break.
  2. I just read where Sick Sandusky (name I just made for him) was meeting these children - through his own freaking "charity" - Second Mile - Providing Children with Help and Care. Um hello?!?!?! What in the world is going on here? Does anyone else not see the absurdity of this?! Sick Sandusky FOUNDED this charity!! I can't even talk about this point anymore. It's literally making me sick to think about it...
  3. Again, are we really trying to say Joe Pa was treated unfairly?! He not only knew of this sick behavior from Sandusky, but he was also aware of the foundation that he ran. Did Joe Pa see no issue with this? Did he think that it was OK for Sick Sandusky to be allowed free reign around children? Oh please. Paterno is obviously just as sick as Sandusky is.
  4. There are other officials at the school who have resigned, taken leave, been fired, whatever, because of their involvement or lack-there-of with this issue. But is that really all that's going to be done? I know some are being charged with perjury, but shouldn't some legal action be taken against Joe Pa as well??
I am quite worked up about the whole thing, and I'm sure I could ramble even more. But I'll stop it after this. What is wrong with the world? Why are we more concerned with protecting the reputation of a school than with helping save innocent children? Why are we so caught up in the legacy of a football team that heinous crimes are swept under the rug instead of bringing them into the light? It sickens me. I seriously can't even stand it.

It makes my heart hurt for these crazy people at Penn State. But even more so, it literally breaks my heart for those eight boys who had their innocence ripped away by a sick freak. I know it's not our job to judge and punish - the Lord will handle that in his own way - but I hope this man gets what he deserves here on earth. I hope Sick Sandusky rots away in a nasty prison cell...

People I Love

**Also, I would like to add to this list - all my friends from Flagler/St. Augustine. Just because you're not on there, doesn't mean I don't love you! :) **

And in case you didn't notice, I will still be continuing to do some of these list's throughout November. I decided to put the photography challenge on Facebook instead of my blog, because I thought posting every day with only a picture would be kind of obnoxious...

Here's a life update as well -
In the past couple of weeks I have had some fun times at Wild Adventures, bowling, and hanging out with friends; as well as glorious weekends spent in St. Augustine, and in Charlotte, NC. They were both very busy weekends, but each was extremely fun. I have begun seriously planning D-Now (short for Disciple Now Weekend, which is a youth retreat), and I am so incredibly excited for it. It's not until February, but I already can't wait!

This weekend will be spent at home here in Tally, but it will be anything short of boring. Here are all of the wonderful things this weekend holds: Family Fish Fry tonight at the Little Powell's, birthday party tomorrow for Trevor Mullins who is turning 1, bike ride tomorrow afternoon with Jeff in his neighborhood, Greek Festival, North Florida Seafood festival, church, bike ride at the St. Marks Trail on Sunday with Jeff and Taylor, ultimate frisbee with Rooftop youth, and I need to use my Groupon for Textures Handmade Market which expires on Sunday!

It's going to be extremely busy, but it's also going to be extremely fun! I love you all, and miss those of you who I haven't seen lately. (Which is probably most of you...)

Pedicures On A Saturday Morning

I'm getting better at the doodles each time. I like these pancakes! :)
These are things that I have done in the past, will be doing this Saturday, or would like to do in the future. All are good, all are lovely Saturday morning activities, and all make for a nice day.
Love to everyone.

Personalized Cubby

I have finally gotten around to making my cubby more personalized. Before I just had a few random things that I could manage to grab real quick on my way out the door - like a lamp, a starfish picture and a small stuffed penguin. But now I have gotten pictures printed, and frames brought in. And those pictures have been put in the frames, and/or taped up on the wall. And I like looking around in here now. :)

I am still going to get more printed because I want some of my New York City trip last May for graduation, and the G.A.R.T last August with my besties, and my family vacation from this June...but for now, I am happy with it, and I think it looks cute.

Here are some of the cute things in my new cute cubby :)

Love y'all.

Pricey Kitchen Appliance

I really want a pretty mixer like this when I grow up...
My dear friend Nicole, over at Hands Up, just opened me up to new things here on Blogger, and I felt compelled to try it out. Here's what I learned (even though it's still very basic) 1. You can add captions at the bottom of your photos. 2. You can make your photos XL, and I think it makes them look so much better...

So I know it's not earth-shattering news, but I was excited about it. And I really just needed to test this new found information. Thanks Nicole!

Panini from Panera

So unfortunately, my Mama is at home very sick right now - most likely with pneumonia. Yikes. (So please remember to keep her in your prayers, please). But fortunately, that meant I was able to go home on my lunch hour and take care of her a tiny bit.

On my way home I called into Panera (my favorite) and ordered lunch for both of us. I did the You-Pick-Two and got half of the new Turkey Artichoke Panini and a small cup of French Onion Soup. And it was quite a delicious lunch. To be honest, the panini wasn't my favorite I've ever gotten from there, but it was still yummy. And that is my favorite soup, almost anywhere, and it didn't disappoint.

Panera - you always fill my belly and make me happy. Thank you.

Love you friends. Tomorrow's FRIDAY!! :)

Push-Pin Pumpkins

I have done another Pinterest-inspired craft. The problem is - mine doesn't look near as good as the original...and I can't really even figure out why. (Maybe I didn't place them close enough to each other?) I mean, I'm OK with them for the most part, but mine definitely couldn't be sold on Etsy or anything like that...

Opinions?

Original (follow link to see more)

Mine

So for now they're sitting on my desk at work. And I like them good enough. (Oh and a secret, I didn't have enough pins to finish them, so the back side of each is bare...) Maybe I'll try to re-do it, to spruce it up a bit. Or maybe not...

Perky

At this moment:
1. My office is absolutely freezing. And I'm wearing jeans, closed-toe shoes, and a sweater. And I'm still cold.
2. I am super excited to go to Wild Adventures Halloween-fest tonight with Jeff, Robert, Jacob and Lacy - Phobia. (And really hoping it doesn't rain).
3. Ready to watch FSU football tomorrow after an open week last Saturday!
4. In a really awesome mood. Perky, some might say. No further explanation is needed for that one :) I'm just happy!
5. Wanting another cup of coffee with pumpkin spice cream. Yum.

Penguin On My Desk

Last week I moved into a new cubby at work. I have my own tiny little space now, and I don't even mind it's technically a cubicle. (I am in a long office, with two doors, split by a 5-foot divider and a bookshelf...) It's mine and it's private and I like it.

I have slowly been bringing in a few items every day in order to make it look a little cuter, and I just wanted to share this little guy, because he is way cute. And he of course goes along with my theme/title. His name is The Admiral, and I like having him on my desk. Now I just gotta get some polka dots up in this cube. Probably not gonna bring in any pasta to decorate with though...but definitely to eat at some point.

Peace, Love and Penguins ♥

Plethora of Pumpkin Things

Here's my second list so far my friends. And the pumpkin doodle is much, much cuter than my bike attempt from last week! :) Agreed?

And in case you were wondering what I mean by "pumpkin stuff," I literally mean all things pumpkin -- donuts, coffee, bread, muffins, color, actual pumpkins, decorations, themes, pie, pumpkin seeds (for a snack), carving, butter, pudding, crafts...and I'm sure there's something I'm leaving off this list. It's certainly not exhaustive of all the excellent forms of pumpkin goodness.

I love fall. ♥ And I love yall. ♥

Party for My Mama

So even though I know I said I was going to start the list postings in October, I am getting a head start on it because I probably won't have time to it tomorrow. (Also, I don't have a scanner set up at my own house to do this from...)

I realize my bike drawings are a bit elementary, but I'm ok with that. And I figured yall would be too :) Maybe for the next post I'll attempt to make it a little cuter and a little more creative. But for now, this is what we got...

Love yall. Have a good weekend!

Planning Ahead

Lately I've actually been FOLLOWING all of the blogs I've been following. Know what I'm sayin? But for real - I love reading other people's blogs. Even strangers can be interesting and have fun ideas. So I've gotten a few ideas for the future of my blog based on read a few random blogs over the last month of so.

My plan is to blog every day in October and November - with a different theme for both months. For the month of October, I am going to do a cute little list every day, which I borrowed the idea from this fun blog. (I doubt mine will be anywhere as cute since I'm not that great at doodling, but we'll see how it goes!) And then in November I plan to reattempt the photo-a-day challenge. But I'm thinking it might be a little easier this go round, cuz I can now take really nice pictures with my phone, instead of having to worry about an actual camera all the time! :)

(Example of cute list from The Nearsighted Owl)

(Photography challenge I am going to attempt!)

Pre-Game

I just wanted to announce that I'm super excited for some Seminole football today!! I've been out of town the last two weekends, so I've unfortunately missed everything related to college football. But not this weekend. And I can't wait! I've wore my Seminole attire and accessories all day at work to get myself all psyched up, and it's been working. I'm so ready for some Seminole football!!
LET'S GO NOLES!!

Pandora Comedy is Good for Road Trips

Labor Day weekend was super fun and amazing. Instead of sharing every tiny detail though like I usually do, I'll just try to hit the high notes...

Drove to Charlotte, North Carolina with Jeff all day Friday
Went to IKEA - amazing! My first trip there, and it was the bomb
Stayed my first night with some of Jeff's family in Charlotte on an air mattress
Picked up Gabe and Ryan early Saturday and drove to Hinton, West Virginia
Spent time with all sorts of Jeff's family and friends for two days
Played at a park right next to a dam
Went to a little water fall on the New River in West Virginia
Ate entirely too much yummy food
I slept on an air mattress for a few too many days - while Jeff and the boys shared a full-size bed down the hall
Listened to comedy on Pandora - awesome for road trips, and so freaking funny
Drank a lot of coffee/caffeine/energy drinks
Had so much fun playing with those precious little boys :)
Took the boys back early Monday morning - sad times
Drove back to Tally super slow with stops along the way for Jeff to show me around his old stomping grounds
Had an amazingly fun weekend with my boyfriend and his super cute kids :)

And here's a collage of mostly the boys, but a few other ones too. They're just so stinking photogenic, so it's hard to take photos of much else when they're around! ;)

Precious

Just learned a new fact, and it's precious, so I want to share it...

Sea otters hold hands while they're sleeping so that they don't drift away from each other :)

Pullen Family Singers

**Apparently I'm incapable of summarizing my fun, so this is another long post...**

This past weekend Jeff and I took a trip over to Orange Park/St. Augustine for a crazy busy, but crazy fun, weekend. Unfortunately, Grandpa Pullen passed away the previous week, so on Saturday, they had a giant get together for the family memorial service to honor their Dad/Uncle/Grandpa/Brother/Great-Grandpa. So we made the trip too!

We took off work Friday to drive over, and spent some time with his family in Orange Park on Friday afternoon. They were all super nice, and we had a good time hanging out with them. Then we headed on down to St. Augustine to spend the evening with my friends! We met Cally, Dani and Jeannine at their house, and then went to dinner at The Back 40 Urban Cafe, one of my favorites. And it was absolutely delish. We stopped by Red Box on our way home to rent "It's Kind of A Funny Story," and we spent the rest of the evening enjoying movie rest time. Then we all went our separate ways to our own little beds!

Saturday morning we woke up and went to breakfast at the oh-so-yummy Sea Oats Caffe on the island. We both had coffee and ONE chocolate chip pancake each. Why only one each you ask? Because these are seriously the biggest pancakes you've ever seen. In your life. They are the size of the plate, and about 1/2" thick! Super huge. And super delicious. We stopped by the dollar store for some fancy sunglasses for me after I broke my others, and a quick look into a bike shop next door. Then we headed back up to Orange Park for the memorial service.

It was again a great time spent with his family, and I really enjoyed meeting all of the Pullen's. The memorial was very touching, and I even teared up a little, even though I had never even met Grandpa Pullen. A few of them sang a few special songs, and the rest of the family joined in. And let me tell you - those Pullens can sing. We were all just sitting around the living room, and they sounded like a choir singing in 4-part harmony! It was like they were the von Trapp Family Singers from the Sound of Music or something! (Which by the way, the title up there is a word play from the movie...)

After the service, we had some lunch and put on our bathing suits for some pool time with the family! There were tons of kids, and it was fun to play in the pool with them! And actually, Jeff was acting like a little kid himself doing all sorts of tricks and dives and jumps and just having fun splashing everyone! We spent some more time chatting with family, and catching up with those he doesn't get to see very often, and had a good time.

Once everyone started heading out to go home, we packed up too and drove back down to St. Aug. I took the fastest shower ever, and was ready just in time to go to Mango Mango's with the whole group for dinner! It was so yummy, and we were very full. We went back to the girls' house, and enjoyed a fun game of 3 Round Charades! That game always makes me laugh so much, and this time was no different. Super fun and super funny.

Sunday morning, Cally made us pancakes for breakfast, and they were so yummy. Jeff and I got dressed, and drove to Crescent Beach to meet his brother Greg's family. We went on a short ferry ride to Fort Matanzas and got to spend some time exploring the little fort. Then we ate lunch back in St. Aug Beach at Sunset Grill, and went to the beach for a bit. Jeff and I then packed up all our stuff, changed clothes, and went downtown to explore St. George Street, ate yummy dinner at Cruiser's Grill, and got some "gourmet popsicles" from The Hyppo with my Groupon!

On our way home, we stopped to see Greg and his family again at their hotel, and then were finally on the road back to Tally. We listened to comedians on Pandora all the way home, and laughed like crazy at all the funny things. We finally got back late, and were both super exhausted.

Like I said before, the weekend was crazy busy, but it was also definitely crazy fun. I enjoyed meeting all of Jeff's family and getting to know them a little bit. And of course I loved spending time with all my amazing friends back in St. Auggie!

Cally, Dani, Jeannine, Jenni, Katie, Christina, Josh, Zach, Steven - you guys are way cool, and I'm glad I got to spend some time with yall, even it wasn't very much! But don't worry, we'll be back again soon, and it will be even more awesome! I Love yall so much, glad you're my friends. :)

Pumped for the Weekend

I just want to say how excited I am to be going to St. Augustine this weekend! I miss my friends dearly, and I can't wait to see them. Also, I'll be bringing along the boyfriend for them to meet, so that will be fun too. :) Jeff and I both took off work, and we're leave tomorrow morning. Currently, I have about two and a half hours of work left, and I feel like I can hardly make it through the last few hours of the day due to my excitement!

A few things I'm looking forward to, even though I know there won't be enough time for all of it: Mango Mango's, the beach, friends, laughing, stories, Cafe 11, playing games, friends, popsicles from The Hyppo, visiting Flagler, showing Jeff around my old town, friends, and FUN!

LOVE, and see yall soon!

Packed Schedule

My life is crazy busy right now. But I love it. I have so many fun, awesome, lovely things happening, and I am so blessed and so grateful that God has given me all these things! A lot has happened in just the one week since my last update, and I intend on sharing quite a bit of it. So, warning: this post will be long. :)

(last) MONDAY
Work. Lunch with Jeff. Work. Shopping with Jeff...
Monday night is always family dinner night at home. And last Monday we celebrated my Dad's birthday because my parents were out of town on his actual birthday. My family of five were there, plus Jeff and Bo, for a night of family fun. We all ate dinner together, talked for a little while in the living room, and then moved back to the dining room for a game of Quelf! It was so funny and hilarious, and we had a blast all playing together!

TUESDAY
Work. Lunch with Jeff. Work. Zumba. Bible study. Movie rest time at Jeff's house.

WEDNESDAY

First I went to work at DOC. Then I had lunch with Jeffrey, then I went out to church for my office hours for the youth. I worked on a ton of Sunday school stuff for Promotion Sunday, as well as some other administrative work. Then I had a wonderful phone call with my dear old friend Kaley to catch up on our lives! Then I took a shopping trip to Walmart to buy the supplies for Super Duper Messy Night! The event turned out great, and we had a lot of fun. And of course, we got super duper messy. A few of the things involved: baked beans, chocolate syrup, spaghetti sauce, hot dogs, flour, pancake syrup, whipped cream, baby food and squeeze cheese...yummy. And then we lucked out. It was Water Night for the children's activities, and when they were done, we got to go play on their giant blow up water slides as well! So much fun, and so super messy.

Then after Messy Night, I raced home to shower, and go meet Jeff at his house. We stopped to get some snacks and drinks to stuff in my purse, and then headed to see Captain America in 3D. And I must say, it was a pretty awesome movie. Very much looking forward to The Avengers next summer!

THURSDAY
Work. Lunch at home (Jeff had to take his car to get serviced). Work. Home to change clothes. Pick up Jeff from his office. Dinner at Sonny's with group of awesome friends. Game night at Sara's where we played Phase 10 - with partners. Which was both fun and funny. However, I lost big time, so that wasn't super fun...

FRIDAY
Work. Lunch with Jeff at 1 Fresh Stir Fry. (This was my first time trying this delicious place, and I loved it! I will definitely be returning this one.) Work. Triple date night out with me and Jeff, Megan and Bo, and Mama and Papa! We went to a new seafood place in town, High Tide, to see if it was any good. And it was! Service was good, food was yummy and price wasn't bad. We ordered an appetizer, and the manager brought it out pretty quick. Then there was some
confusion, and our waitress brought us another one, because she didn't realize we already had it! They let us keep both :) And, Mama had found 20% off coupons, and printed one for each couple. Awesome. It was a fun date with lots of stories and laughing. Then Jeff and I went to the cheap theater to see a late night movie after dinner, and that was fun too.

SATURDAY
Slept in. Did laundry. Watched half of a movie. Showered. Went out to the church to do some youth work. Walmart. Target. Lunch with Jeff and his mama at their house. Target with them for SS supplies. Then Jeff and I did an array of fun activities/errands: Best Buy, Belk, Payless, Claire's, test rode new bicycles, visited two other bike shops, Bell's, dinner at Pepper's, Publix, movie rest time at home. We made some good purchases, and had a lot of fun hanging out all day! I like my boyfriend a lot, he makes me happy :)

SUNDAY
Church. Missions Sunday/Promotion Sunday (TONS of youth at Sunday School!! YAY!). Sunday School. Hung at Newk's with college group. Home to change clothes and pack. Jeff's house. Lunch with him. Mini-road trip to St. George Island for a day at the beach!

We explored a few small towns and fun things on the way down there, and just took our time driving. Once there we set up our chairs and umbrellas and watched the waves for a bit. Then we built a pretty awesome sandcastle for a while - complete with moat and grotto. After we were too hot to stand it anymore, we got in the jellyfish infested waters (there was a purple flag flying), to cool down for a few minutes. We then got out and moved our chairs into the tide, and relaxed for a bit longer while the sun was still up. We rinsed off, changed clothes, and headed out. We took some cool pictures of course of the setting sun, and took our time driving back. We stopped in Panacea and ate at a super casual, southern-style seafood place for dinner, Coastal Restaurant. We came home and were exhausted, but of course had a bit of movie rest time before I headed home.

TODAY
Work. Lunch with Jeff. Work. (Blog). Cook. Family dinner night. Fun. :)

UPCOMING
Looking forward to whatever craziness the rest of this week may bring! And then I'm super pumped and looking foward to this weekend because Jeff and I will be going over to St. Augustine for some fun with my amazing friends! I can't wait to see yall, it's gonna be so awesome! Love to everyone :)

Profile Facelift

In honor of my 1 Year Anniversary of Penguins, Pasta and Polka Dots, I gave the old profile a face lift. Do we like? I know I certainly do! (I'm very much into all things yellow right now, and so I'm loving this new color scheme.)

For the record though, my blog-iversary was actually August 11. But I'm celebrating a few days later... :)

Much Love.

Procrastination Trumps Productivity

So, I should be doing something a lot more productive than just making a new blog post. But, my dear friend Dani, specifically requested a new blog post a few days ago, so I figured I would oblige her, and write a little something! :)

This past weekend was a blast, and I wish every weekend could be so good and could provide so much fun. Friday night started out with date night with my sweet boyfriend, Jeff. We went to an old Tallahassee favorite, Jim & Milt's, for some casual, delicious BBQ. We both got the Yankee sandwich (combo of chopped beef and pork) but he got fried corn-on-the-cob and I got french fries, and then we shared our sides. It was so yummy. And then we watched "Love & Other Drugs" which turned out to be a great, really funny movie. Definitely recommend this one.

Saturday morning I was lucky and I got to sleep in, thankfully! Then Jeff came over and we spent the afternoon lounging around the house watching movies. Saturday night Jeff and I went up to Wild Adventures for the Skillet concert - which was so amazing!! We got there early enough to ride 3 of the roller coasters, and then we met up with Robert and Jacob for concert time! It was such a great, fun night!

Sunday morning was the usual of Contemporary Worship Service followed by Sunday school. Then for lunch the whole family went over to my Grandparent's house to celebrate both my Papa's and my Aunt Q's birthdays. We had good food, lot's of laughs, and a fun time.

Then Sunday afternoon Jeff and I took a quick trip down to St. George Island. We walked down the beach and watched the beautiful sunset. (Romantic, right?!) We picked up a few really awesome looking shells, took some good pictures, and Jeff terrorized a couple crabs trying to get some good video :)

Then we had dinner at The Blue Parrot (where both of our orders weren't cooked completely but they were extremely nice about bringing us new ones!), and enjoyed the nice weather. Then we sat on the beach for a little while under the bright full moon before heading back to Tally.

All-in-all it was a great weekend. And I'm already looking forward to more fun this upcoming weekend. But first, I have a small cold that I need to get rid of. So let's hope and pray that it goes away before Friday - cuz I'm ready to have some more fun! :)

Love to you all ♥

Pinterest Love

So I've become obsessed with a new website I found a few weeks ago. Pinterest.

It's an online board where you can catalogue your favorite things in life. The point is so that you don't forget that one day you wanted to make a collage of vintage maps, or that you have an excellent recipe for the most delicious cheesecake.

I've been on it for a few weeks now, and I'm am literally obsessed. Once I'm on the site, I find it very hard to finally get off and do something else, something more "productive."

So girls, if you like pretty things, funny pictures and some cool craft ideas, I suggest you go check out Pinterest. You're supposed to need an invite to join, so if you do, let me know, and I can send you one! (Boys, I'm not purposefully leaving you out, but the site is just more girl-centered.)

Below is just one example of the random things on Pinterest that makes me smile :)
Love to each and every one of you! ♥

Polka Dot Dress

I am really liking this style of dress lately. Can't afford this specific one at all (it's like $150!! No way, Jose), but it's super cute. I found it on Pinterest (blog about that on the way shortly) and am in love with the ruffles, the tie, the polka dots, and even the gray/white combo.
Tried one on like it at Old Navy yesterday that was blue and flowery, and I really liked it. However, I did not like the price. So I didn't get it. However, tomorrow morning their having a special dress sale where select dresses are 50% off! So I'm going back in the morning in the hopes that my dress is one of the ones on sale!

Proposals & Potter

Before anyone starts getting any crazy ideas, I just want to point out that this is NOT a proposal to me...Glad we got that out of the way.

It was however a proposal for my dear friend Nicole, this time last year. She writes a pretty cool blog that read faithfully. Tonight she used my P Alliteration for her post titled "Proposals & Potter," so I felt like I had to link over to it since it fits perfectly with my P theme!

Enjoy Nicole's fun life and cute blog. And I'll post something about my own life sometime soon as well! Love yall ♥

Oh, and also - you should check out my friend Dani's new blog. She just started last week. And I made a small guest appearance with some other awesome girls. :)

Penguin Watch?! Yes, Please.

So, I want a "fancy-ish" gold watch. The kind with rhinestones around the rim, and the dials on the inside. But I can't afford to pay an arm and a leg for the beautiful ones like Michael Kors makes, like this beauty...

So instead, I've been searching on Amazon to find a much more affordable option - maybe something like this...

In the meantime though, I've found this treasure - and I think I like it. I think I want it. Actually, I think I need it...

Purse Search

I feel like writing a blog randomly, but don't have a lot of time, or anything specific to share. So, here are just a few tid-bits of information about my life right now!

1. I kinda wanna start looking for a new job, like immediately.
2. I am in search of a new purse, and I can't find the style I'm looking for anywhere! Annoying. (Like the one in the picture a little bit. But I'm being kinda picky about it...Gonna do some more shopping at lunch today. Hopefully it goes better.)

3. Just bought new jewelry last night at Kohl's, and I'm already a bit obsessed with it :)
4. Looks like I'll be getting a new iPhone within the next month or so! Awesome!!
5. Unfortunately, my weight-loss extravaganza has come to a halt. I've plateaued at about 35 pounds lost, and haven't moved past that in about month. Guess I need to switch up my habits now...?
6. Taking the youth tubing tomorrow, and it's gonna be sooo much fun.

7. Apparently someone might have tried to steal my bank info?
Luckily, it got fixed before I even knew about it - so it's all good now.
8. I miss my St. Augustine friends.

9. But I'm really loving life right now, and all my friends here, and new people in my life ;)
10. Summer time is my favorite, and it's quite fantastic right now!

Picture Collage for Previous Post

Po'Boy on the Beach

It's been waaayyy too long since I've posted on this here bloggy-blog. But it's because my precious computer was sick. My dear friend Jeff got it up and running for me again, and now she's as good as new again, if not better! Thanks Jeff! :)

This is just a quick post and collage from my 4th of July pictures at St. George Island. Hopefully not that my computer is back, I'll get back into the habbit of blogging regularly again - I always forget how much I actually enjoy doing this!

So on July 4, after a visit with my Granddaddy for his birthday, Jeff and I went on a short road trip late in the afternoon and got there just in time for a delicious dinner at the Blue Parrot - right on the beach. We shared a shrimp po'boy, fries and onion rings, and I had a delicious mango-flavored drink. We sat outside on the deck and the weather was perfect. Not too hot, no humidity, nice breeze. After dinner we walked down to the beach, and parked ourselves in some squishy sand.

The fireworks were pretty incredible, and we could see them all up and down the beach. On our drive home, we continued to see more fireworks about every 10 minutes or so, so we ended up having an extremely long fireworks show all night long! It was pretty awesome. The whole day was pretty awesome :) Friends from St. Augustine/Flagler - I love and miss you all. Friends/family from Tallahassee - I don't miss you but I do love you! :) Happy Wednesday yall.

**For some reason the picture won't upload, so I'll do that later!**

Pretending to be Fashionable

Hi Friends!

Yall should all go over and check out my friend Maggie's blog. Why you ask? Because I made a guest blogging appearance on her blog! She went on vacation, and needed a few guest bloggers while she was gone, and she asked me to be one of them! What's strange for me is that she writes a fashion blog, and that's what I was supposed to write about as well. A totally new avenue for me.

And even though I was a little late turning it in, she still ended up needing it anyways, so I'm featured on her blog today! But you should not only read what I wrote. Read what Maggie writes too. Cuz she's pretty funny :) And she does wear some stinking cute clothes.

Love to everyone. Now visit Hook & Stylit to view my "fashion blog" and read more about Maggie's actual fashions! (And here's a preview of my favorite outfit that's featured in my fashionable blog post...)

Passing of the Keys

So, most of you know - our youth pastor at Bradfordville resigned in the middle of March. Well yesterday was his final day at church with us. Now I am officially the ONLY youth staff at BFBC. It's such a weird feeling.

Last night we had a tiny "ceremony" in which Duncan passed his church keys off to me. I then went around and locked up the church for the first time. However, he didn't mention I had to turn off the lights before I locked the doors...so we had to do a little fixing :) oopsie...

This is just a quick post to request prayer for our youth group, for myself as I start leading on "my own" (with a lot of help from our Youth Ministry Committee and adult volunteers), and for Duncan and his family during their transition.

Just please remember all of Bradfordville in your prayers. We could definitely use some extra prayers whenever possible! Love you to all.

Prescription Popsicles

So I have strep throat - awesome. And it is actually the worst case of it I can remember in my whole life. The glands in my neck were so swollen that is caused physical aches and pains in my entire body because my neck back were so stiff. I woke up feeling bad last Friday and missed work, played a little too hard on Saturday, then laid in bed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and now Wednesday morning. Antibiotics are working their amazing magic, and I'm feeling better now. But as you can imagine, I've had some time on my hands.

Here is a list of the Top 10 Things I've Done with Strep, in no particular order:

1. Sleep until almost noon, which is extremely rare for me. (Not today, but today is when I took the picture)

2. Read the Food Network magazine - and hello, could there be a more perfect issue for me, and this blog?! I think not...it made me happy :)
3. Play with my new camera - most of the pictures on this post were taken with this camera (except for this one of course...)4. Drink a few too many cups of delicious Keurig coffee 5. Eat popsicles like they're going out of style. Hey, my doctor prescribed them to me along with the Amoxil, so what's a girl to do? A girl is going to eat the dang popsicles! And, they're only 15 calories, and sugar free! So they're still diet friendly :)6. Eat store-bought-gelato like it's going out of style. This was also prescribed, although wayyy doesn't fit into the diet. But it's freaking delicious, obviously - the whole thing's basically gone now. How did I not know this existed before? 7. Watch all three Pirates of the Caribbean movies in the correct order to get ready for On Stranger Tides to come out next Friday! (The photo on the left is the poster of movie #3 on the back of my door :) It was a present from my little seester!)8. Google the release the iPhone 5, and when Verizon will get it. Sadly, probably not till September. The worse news - my current phone will NOT make it another 4 months

9. Wake up at almost noon and still have time to watch three movies in one day.

10. Paint my nails a slightly rediculous (although still pretty dang awsome) shade of blue

There were some other things I did while at home for 4 1/2 days, but these are the best/most interesting, and also the least embarrassing, haha. And although a few of my days off were quite miserable, I have really enjoyed having some rest and free time. This never happens, and it's been nice. (Although it certainly sucks not getting paid for so long!) Oh well. Money isn't everything!! And in case you're wondering, I'm still sick right now, but at least feeling much better. I'm going to work at church this afternoon, and will be back at DoC tomorrow for our big office move to the downtown building. That's gonna be exhausting...pray for that please!

Love to everyone :)
