**Disclaimer - this page is still a work in progress, and I will adding/editing/changing things over the next few days**
And now I'll pick up where that story left off. In January of 2013, I began the year at 217 pounds, but I was determined to change that as much as I could. I stayed on track and honestly, I was amazed at what I was able to accomplish!
I eat as healthy as I can as much as possible, with of course the exception of some special treats every now and then, or a week of not counting calories sometimes. I go to Zumba twice a week, every week, and I love it. I do the Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred at home on off-days from Zumba. I also have a notebook I write down extra workouts and routines to target specific areas.
And in February 2013, I surprised myself and actually started running. Y'all, I haaaaaated running for all of my life, and swore I never would. Then I just up and started it one day, and I've been improving with each and every mile I run. When I first started, I ran a mile in 16:35. Now, my average is around 12:15. I know that's still pretty slow, but hello! Look at that improvement!

Then in September 2013, I ran my first official 5K race - The Color Run! My goal had been to finish in under 40 minutes, and I did it in 38:45. Success!!
Every Wednesday, I am going to post my weekly weigh-in results and share how I'm doing with my diet and exercise.
I've come a long ways already, but I know I've still got a long ways to go. I'm working my butt off (literally and physically) trying to get there. It's not always easy, but I'm determined to get through it, to find the healthiest me possible.
