Punch it Into High Gear

I was trying to think of a "different" way to start off this post today, because I feel like I always start each Wednesday post in exactly the same way. So I racked my brain forever a few minutes, and still could come up with nothing. Apparently it's tough to be creative when posting my Weigh-In Wednesday results to link up with Alex & Erin...

Initial Starting Weight = 227
January Starting Weight = 217
Last Week, May 1 = 191.4
Today, May 8 = 188

And that's the lowest I've ever reported for a weigh-in Wednesday, even with all my yo-yo-ing throughout April! Last week, I told y'all that I've been toying with the same two pounds for basically the entire dadgum month of April...so let's just hope that they stay gone for good this time, and I don't have to continue this teeny tiny roller coaster every single week.

I started eating much healthier this last week. I tried to make healthier choices in general, and I also tried to eat smaller portions than what my inner fat-girl wants. Of course I had some cheats thrown in there as well, but overall, it was better than I have been the last month or so.(Well, minus yesterday because that was a whole cheat day for Jeff's birthday celebrations!)

And my workouts are starting to become a bit more regular like before, and so that always makes me feel good. I'm not back to six days a week again, but that's OK for now. After Meg's wedding on the 18th, hopefully life and my schedule will go back to "normal" again for a while, and I can go back to working out more often.

Wednesday: lunch-time ab class with my aunt & a 7.25-mile bike ride with Jeff after work (666 cals - yikes!)
Thursday: 6 Week Six-Pack before work (150 cals), & 1-mile run with 60 minutes of Zumba after work (726 cals)
Friday: 6W6P before work (180 cals) and a rest day because I was busy doing family things and graduation stuff!
Saturday: walked all day long, all over two malls shopping with my Mama, and it was exhausting
Sunday: beach day/rest day :)
Monday: Was lazy at first and skipped doing the Jillian 6W6P, and then after work I got sick and couldn't run...
Tuesday: 1-mile run and 60 minutes of Zumba (814 cals)

And yesterday's 1-mile run was another PR! My previous time had been 12:23, and yesterday I ran it in 12:10!! Killed it. Before I know it, I'll be running less than a 12-minute mile. And that seems outrageously fast to me, especially considering I started out around 16:35!!

So all-in-all, I'd say that's not too shabby. Sure, I could have done more, but I didn't, and that's OK. What I did is at least better than nothing at all! Today I'll be doing the ab class during my lunch break, and then Jeff and I are going to go on another bike ride tonight after work. And I'll continue to try to eat healthy as much as I can. I'm hoping that I can stay in the 180's for a bit now, and never see the 190's on my scale again. Not ever!

Overall, I'm ready for lower numbers on the scale, and lower numbers in my clothing size. I'm ready for muscle to replace fat and I'm ready for my whole body to slim down. I'm just ready for this chubbiness to leave and never come back. I'm ready to Punch Into High Gear again and keep kicking butt.

You go girl!!!

I'm loving following your journey and you along with some other bloggers are making me want to get my lazy butt up and get outside!! Today I went on a bike ride(only 2.8 miles for 17 minutes), but it was progress and a starting point for me!

Keep up the good work!! :)

I loved this post. I agree with less number and smaller clothes! Less fat and more muscle. What a mantra to follow! I'm jealous of you hitting the 180's!

What a great NSV and an AWESOME victory on the scale this week! We have almost the exact same stats, and I was hoping to hit 188 next week (I'm at 191.8 this week!). Definitely inspiring me to hit my goal next week thanks to your booty-kicking this week-- good job lady! :)
